What you do

As Test Engineer, you will ensure the reliability and performance of our smart charging solutions by validating end-to-end system behaviour across the entire ecosystem (EV, EVSE, CPMS, and user applications). This is not a pure testing role. You will own the full testing lifecycle - from understanding system requirements and designing comprehensive test strategies to executing validation activities and ensuring that identified issues are resolved effectively, guaranteeing high-quality and robust software releases.
  • Understand end-to-end requirements of the bidirectional (BiDi) charging ecosystem (EV, EVSE, CPMS, user applications) through close collaboration with engineers and development teams
  • Design, build, and maintain a technical test setup for integration with residential energy systems, including PV simulation, home battery storage, and related components.
  • Design and develop comprehensive test cases covering functional requirements, edge cases, and corner scenarios
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously refine detailed test plans to support timely and reliable software releases
  • Execute end-to-end testing activities (functional, regression, and conformance) and ensure clear and timely reporting of test results
  • Create, document, and manage defect tickets, including initial analysis, and coordinate with development teams across multiple partners

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, with a focus on electrical and energy engineering
  • Preferred: Technical qualification with TREI certification for installation of the test setup
  • Experience in testing environments, with a focus on smart charging technologies; ISTQB certification is considered a plus
  • Familiarity with ISO 15118, OCPP and Modbus protocols is a plus
  • Fluency in English and German (written and spoken)

About us

Shaping an emission-free energy and mobility future - that is the goal of The Mobility House. To achieve this, we combine the automotive and energy sectors with our technology. We integrate vehicle batteries into the power grid using intelligent charging and energy solutions. The whole thing started 15 years ago with a simple idea from our founder Thomas Raffeiner: What if idle electric cars could be used as mobile storage units? And make their potential available to the energy industry with its growing storage requirements? The idea for The Mobility House was born.

With over 350 employees, we are active worldwide from our locations in Munich, Zurich, Belmont, CA (USA), Paris and Singapore. We are always on the lookout for new faces who share our enthusiasm for our vision.
Do you want to be part of the future with us? Then we look forward to receiving your application.
