What you do
Why this role is differentYou will be trading one of the first Vehicle-to-Grid and fastes growing BESS portfolios in Europe - at the intersection of energy markets, battery storage and connected EVs. This isn't a desk where strategies have been running on autopilot for years. You'll build, test and steer algorithmic bidding logic across Day-Ahead, Intraday and reserve markets, and you'll see the direct impact of your decisions on a live and fast growing 500+ MW portfolio across four countries.
If you want to work on problems that most trading desks won't face for another decade, this is the place.
- Developing, refining and live-steering algorithmic bidding strategies across our Automotive and Stationary portfolios
- Executing fully automated trades in DA, ID, reserve markets (FCR, aFRR, mFRR) and other flex markets via proprietary tools and PowerBot
- Managing positions continuously - SoC optimisation, aggregation/disaggregation, cross-market arbitrage
- Monitoring and adapting strategies to shifting market regimes, price signals and asset availability
- Working closely with Quants, Analysts and the Tech team on backtesting, research and tool deployment
- Contributing to the ongoing development of our internal Trading Position Management System
- Pushing our automated trading environment further - manual interventions are the exception, not the norm
