About the role TMH is looking for a hands-on technical leader to take end-to-end ownership of product and engineering for ChargePilot, our charging and energy management solution. You report to the Managing Director and are accountable for reliable, high-quality software delivery across a distributed system spanning an edge device and supporting cloud services on AWS.
You will set the technical vision, mentor engineers, and partner closely with Product to deliver fast, stable releases while keeping technical debt under control. You lead architecture and engineering practices, dive into code reviews and incident response when needed, and systematically raise the bar on CI/CD, test coverage, reliability, and operational excellence.
You also bring strong product instincts: translating customer and business needs into clear roadmaps, aligning stakeholders, defining measurable outcomes (KPIs), and using feedback and data to drive continuous improvement.
Beyond ChargePilot’s product engineering, you hold holistic technology ownership across the broader system landscape: IT infrastructure and critical third-party systems that the business depends on.
- Set strategic direction and priorities as a member of the TMH Solutions Management team, impacting the broader business.
- Lead and mentor the ChargePilot teams (engineering, product, and design) and foster a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Drive product discovery with Product and Design: understand customer and business needs and translate them into clear requirements, acceptance criteria, MVP scope, and measurable success metrics (KPIs).
- Lead prioritization and stakeholder alignment across Engineering, Product, and Sales; communicate trade-offs, dependencies, and roadmap progress transparently.
- Define and execute a coherent technical roadmap aligned with product strategy and customer outcomes; make build/buy/deprecate decisions to manage complexity and cost.
- Own delivery velocity and quality: establish coding standards, testing strategy, CI/CD, and release practices with clear SLAs.
- Lead architecture and design reviews; de-risk initiatives through RFCs, spikes, and measurable milestones.
- Own critical third-party systems and their integrations (selection, contracting input, vendor management, performance, lifecycle, and deprecation), ensuring business continuity and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure security and compliance requirements are met across product and IT systems through pragmatic controls, audits/readiness activities, and continuous improvement.
